Yay Write-a-thon!

I'm Nisi Shawl, a CW graduate from back before the Iron Age, 1992.  Many are the awards I've won, and stories I've written, and anthologies I've edited.  More on those at my website, which is nisishawl.com, natch.

First week I wanna come up with a plan for a new book in the Writing the Other series.  This is going to be about making your historical fiction inclusive, and I'm writing it with Alaya Dawn Johnson, and it will benefit greatly from a smart outline.  DONE!

Second week I wanna finish a draft of a story I'm working on now, tentatively titled "Like It's Golden" after a line from a song by Jill Scott.  It's time travel, so I'm pretty nervous about how it's gonna work out.

Third/fourth/fifth/sixth weeks I wanna start my next novel, which is a sequel to my Middle Grade historical fantasy, Speculation.  This one will be from mean Cousin Benny's viewpoint, and the title is Between the Lines.  Cousin Benny's signature dish is yummy Ants-on-a-log, which is my featured photo here!
