Hey all! Help me get some speculative flash writing done this summer and raise money for Clarion West! I'm asking everyone who knows and enjoys my writing to donate $1. I hope there's 100 people out there who can say that!
Clarion West provides writing workshops, events, and other initiatives to the SFF community and has been especially amazing supporting writers of color including me!
My goal for the Write-a-thon is to generate 6 new stories on top of my other writing projects this summer.
I will comment with updates each time I finish a story, and put a little excerpt up each week! I'll even post updates on my other work, so watch this space!
Thanks for your love and support!

6/25: Thanks to all who donated! It's been great to see the support for my writing. The write-a-thon starts today and it's my birthday, so I'm looking forward to a fun and busy day overall hopefully with some writing at the end. I have four chapbooks coming out this year and I just signed a contract for #3. I also placed a CNF work in Five Minute Lit and won second place in a flash contest - both those pieces will be out soon!
7/4: Happy 4th! I received edits back for my fiction chapbook and have happily completed a first pass at them. I need to think about titles some more and then I'll be sending it back to get more feedback on how it's progressing. I'm also busy typing up revisions to poems I wrote in Wales for my poetry chap Anti Asian Bias and working on some new revisions to that project. So now it's up to me to start generating writing and art for my other projects!
7/8: I had a great writing day yesterday with my Fig Group poetry friends and got a lot of writing done on my chapbook project Korean Girl Ghost (for the grant). I also managed to upload my first Write-a-thon flash fiction story on time, go me! And I just uploaded poetry for the workshop I'm taking Monday mornings. So it's back to working on Water Gwisin Saves the Earth and my flash project for next week for now, along with my novel. I'm starting a Lighthouse session next Wednesday where I plan to work almost exclusively in Hana's world and make a lot of progress on that. My art residency also began this week and I'm excited to work with visual art again. There's so much going on but I'm thankful for all of it!
